Doctoral Student, 2019-2024
Bio
My name is Nathan Lampen, and I am a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I obtained a B.S.E. with a concentration in Sustainable Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College (2019) and have research experience in microbiology and deep learning. My research interests include quantitative imaging, medical image analytics, and deep learning, as well as biomechanics and mechanobiology. I hope to develop tools to help clinicians identify early stages of degenerative diseases and predict disease outcomes with or without intervention.
