REU Student - Summer 2018
Bio
My name is Jamie McKay and I am honored to be an REU student here at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I lived my entire life in El Paso, Texas prior to moving to San Antonio to pursue a degree in Engineering. I am currently majoring in Electrical Engineering at St. Mary’s University, and am projected to graduate in 2020. After which, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering. My research interests include semi-conductor devices, photonics, and now medical imaging and deep learning. In the future, I hope to continue researching the applications of artificial intelligence in medical image registration.
